Planqix vs SignAgent
SignAgent details are from signagent.com as of October 2, 2026. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
The short version
- They solve different problems. SignAgent is a platform for the owners and operators of large sites to run every sign they have, for years. Planqix is for the sign shop or design team planning, pricing and producing one sign package.
- Pick SignAgent if you run an airport, hospital, campus or similar and want one system for designing, building and managing signs over their whole life.
- Pick Planqix if you are the shop or designer on the job and want counts for pricing, a message schedule, braille and production art from a floor plan, with published pricing and a free trial.
Who each one is for
SignAgent leads with “Overwhelmed by your signs? Take control!” and offers “a live, single source of truth for every sign”. It is aimed at operators of built environments and their vendors, and lists airports, healthcare, higher education, commercial real estate, transit, hospitality, museums, stadiums and municipal signage among the industries it serves.
Planqix is built for sign shops and design teams working a job from the floor plan: mark the locations, get the counts, price it, then fill in messages and send production art.

Where SignAgent is strong
- The whole life of a sign. Its Manage module keeps tracking signs after they are installed — information updates, costs and compliance — which Planqix does not try to do.
- Big, multi-site programs. Its Build module covers order fulfilment and progress tracking, and its customer list runs to airports, hospitals and universities.
Where Planqix is strong
- Made for the shop on the job. The two-pass flow matches how jobs are actually priced: sign types on the plan and Quick Counts first, messages and artwork second.
- Prices you can see. $25/mo for one estimator, $50/mo for a team of three, month to month. No consultation before you can try it.
- Braille and production art. Every message is translated into Unified English Braille automatically, and the Braille SVG export gives you vector art for each sign.
- Checks before the shop. Copy that runs off the sign at your copy height, and anything raised inside a 6″ pictogram field (ADA 703.6.1), is flagged on the plan.
Using both
They are not either-or. A shop can plan and produce a package in Planqix and hand the owner the schedule as CSV or XLSX, whatever system the owner keeps their signs in afterwards. To see the Planqix side in detail, read the guide or the ADA shop drawings page.
Solo is $25/mo after a 14-day free trial. Month to month, no contract, cancel any time.
